LEARJET 20 SERIES RVSM PROJECT
CURRENT STATUS:
Avcon has received FAA group approval for its Learjet RVSM
program. The RVSM Group Approval includes Learjet 24,
25, 28 and 29 Series aircraft, and all approved wings.
All systems as modified, including the FC-110 and APS-80 autopilots,
perform flawlessly at the various RVSM altitudes, and at speeds
ranging from .65 mach to .80 mach.
EQUIPMENT:
Avon offers two variations of Air Data equipment for RVSM
installations:
IS&S provides RVSM Altimeters (ADDU’s) and Autopilot
Interface Units (AIU’s). Rosemount Pitot Static Probes
are installed. This configuration is used for FC-110
autopilot installations.
For aircraft with the APS-80 autopilot, the RVSM installation
features Kollsman Air Data Computer and Thommen Altimeter
Indicators. The Kollsman Air Data Computer offers remote
monitoring and interface to state-of-the-art avionics displays.
PRICING:
Avcon's current Learjet 20 Series RVSM Modification includes
installation of RVSM equipment and a functional test flight
of the RVSM system installation. In addition, the JET FC-110
autopilot components and pitch servo must be inspected, calibrated
and/or repaired while the aircraft is being modified with
RVSM equipment. The autopilot inspection/repairs depends upon
aircraft configuration. It is not included in the Avcon
RVSM price
