FAA APPROVES BUTLER B737 TSD
STC # ST01160SE
The Federal Aviation Administration has approved Butler National’s
cost-effective Transient Suppression Device (TSD) for installations
on Classic Boeing 737-100 and -200 airplanes to satisfy Airworthiness
Directive (“AD”) 99-03-04 and SFAR-88. At the
time of STC approval, Butler National was the only STC alternative
to AD 99-03-04 that was SFAR-88 compliant.
AD Deadline: March 9, 2003
Compliance with the B737 AD 99-03-04 requires protection
of the fuel quantity indicating system wiring. Does your aircraft
meet the most recent fuel tank safety standards like SFAR-88?
Are your airplanes equipped with TSDs?
Butler National 737 TSD allows for SFAR-88 Compliance
SFAR-88 requires protection for all systems that might provide
an ignition source to the aircraft fuel tank system. This
regulation requires that turbine-powered aircraft certified
to carry 30 or more passengers or a certified payload of 7,500
pounds or more to have intrinsically safe fuel systems. Are
your alternatives SFAR-88 approved? The Butler National 737
TSD is certified fully compliant with SFAR-88.
Butler National Classic Aviation Systems:
• Butler TSDs are cost-effective.
• Butler 737 TSDs typically require only 4 man-hours
to install.
• Butler TSDs are intrinsically safe.
• Butler’s solution is proven by aircraft in service.
