The King Air Baggage Door modification by Avcon Industries, developed and marketed in cooperation with Hawker Pacific, vastly increases the mission flexibility of All King Air models. Ideal for cargo, charter and air ambulance operations, the door facilitates loading and unloading of bulky items, making it a logical aircraft improvement for corporate and 135 operators.

Installed immediately behind the airstair door, the King Air Baggage Door is approximately 13" wide, which expands the total cabin door width to 38", an increase of almost 33%. The door and frame assembly is ruggedly constructed and reinforced with heavy-gauge conventional materials, and the top-hinged design allows clear access during loading and unloading. The door is secured by a shoot-bolt latching mechanism that can only be operated when the airstair door is extended, which provides an additional safety factor in flight.
